Cobbler’s Cabin…. Lots of free Crochet Patterns…

After buying all kinds of crochet thread for the Tablet Weaving Class (more on the second class later…what fun that was!)  I have ALL THIS THREAD left over in several different colors.  I was wandering through my pictures this morning and found this pic of a doily I made a while back and I fell in love with that pattern all over again.   I’m sure there will be several more of these made, but I also want to do some new things.

So a search was on immediately for crochet patterns…

And look what I found… Cobbler’s Cabin … with lots of crochet patterns in a long list in the right column…  This small bowl pattern is a favorite and I’m betting that before long I will have several waiting patiently on the coffee table for me to buy the balloons to shape them.. ;o)

It’s the beginning of deep summer here in Texas and the temps are climbing to near the 100F/38C  and everyone is staying inside except those enthusiastic, wonderful kids who live for the swimming pool. (Remember those days!)  That makes this a really good time to do some small handwork… like crochet.. ;o)

Have a wonderful day…

One Down, Two to Go

The class was wonderful!   The only problem was that  I was so busy that I forgot to take pictures until everyone was gone and  we were cleaning up!   I have to send a shout-out  “Thank you!”   to my friend Marianne Hanks…without whose help I would never have made it… ;o)

Now…  on to the next two Craft Saturdays… for July and August.  Nothing is set in stone yet, but I’m thinking July will be Beaded Wishes…  The idea comes from the Beaded Prayer Project found HERE..  I made one for my daughter several years ago…

This one is a little more elaborate than the ones we will do as a group, but this will give an idea anyway.. ;o)  This, of course, is if Marsha from the museum approves.  She may have another idea completely.. ;o)

The weather here in North Texas is overcast again today, but it has been raining a bit off and on for the last few days.  The crepe myrtle at the edge of the back yard makes a wonderful view this time of year out our office window.  I hope you are at a place where you can look around see lovely things also… Have a wonderful day.. ;o)
