This tiny quilt is a combination of things I have wanted to try for a while. I first drew my picture on muslin and colored it in with crayons using whatever colors I could find in the broken crayon box that I keep for the great grandchildren. This tutorial for using crayons is found on Pam’s blog, Kitty and Me Designs. A couple of different size Sharpie’s were used for more definition and the writing. This was then heat bonded to the blue fabric. It was then embroidered with a first try at using the Cretan Stitch (the stitch of the week at Sharon B’s Take a Stitch Tuesdays) to couch down the rick rack trim.
