Split Rail Fence Quilt Update

I know I said I wouldn’t be embroidering this quilt because I didn’t want it to languish in the UFO pile, but I just couldn’t resist.  The idea at first was just a small French Knot at the tip of each feather stitch, but I found that it disappeared into the background, so I chose instead  a simple detached chain stitch flower with a red French Knot center.  It’s very easy and quick to do, so perhaps this one will get finished after all…..grin  (The links for each stitch will take you to  Sharon B’s Dictionary of Stitches showing how to do individual stitches.  It’s a great resourse for learning embroidery stitches whether a person is a beginning embroiderer or an accomplished one…. Have a look…)

You’re right, Sharon’s site is a treasure. I had lost the bookmark to it, thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
