High Tech Knitting and Crocheting

Binary Scarf from Knitty.comI always wondered what all the little lines, 1’s and 0’s were on the labels at the grocery store.  Seemed an awful lot like Greek to me.  Then I found this knitted scarf at Knitty.com. (By the way, the new Spring zine is up!  Don’t ya love it!)  Click on the pic for a full view on the Knitty site.

This stirred my brain a bit… What about an afghan …crocheted or knitted that said whatever you would like to say … in binary!  Great for guys… or girls that enjoy codes… or maybe secret messages… or poems…  or whatever.  I did a search and found the binary code alphabet…  What surprised me was that it has both upper and lower case letters.  Have a look….

I put a comment yesterday, but I will try again. I wanted to thank you, my nice is 23, and her boyfriend is in computer science, so this was a great idea for a present!

You’re most welcome, Corina. I have a few grandsons that I thought might like them too.
