I did this pastel floral in 2005 as a study in shading.  I’m not too sure what I learned from it, but it certainly was fun to do.  And I like the finished product.  The original idea Floral in Pastels … Linda Ingram Schuster c. 2005-2007came from an embroidery pattern that was given to me by DDIL Tomomi.   It’s rather amazing where artistic ideas can come from…grin   This could be done in crayon on a piece of gingham or muslin…then embroidered ..  Or it could be appliqued, embroidered and then quilted… or it could be done in oils instead of pastels and painted on canvas… or it could be painted on velvet using acrylics as part of a crazy quilt…Hmmmm….
