My Harp Stand Arrived….Yellow Weave

The stand for my Harp arrived… It only took a few minutes to set it up and what a difference it makes!  I can pull it up close while sitting in my chair and it relieves the back discomfort that was persistent when working on the tabletop.  The tilt positioning is great too…

Once again I went stash diving and came up with what I thought would be enough baby yarn to complete a full loom warp… wrong again… the 2 smaller skeins were fingering weight and would not work.  Of course I did not realize this until I had used all the first skein..(they were in a plastic baggie and of course .. it would be too much to ask that I should pull them out and check!)  ;O)   So my first large piece is done with a combination of white and yellow baby yarn warp and a yellow blend weft.

It is a plain weave that will lend itself to either straight or cross stitch embroidery.  I will be embroidering along the dividing line of the two colors of yellow caused by the yellow warp.  I haven’t quite worked out what it will be, but am leaning toward 3 straight lines of a contrasting color for simplicity…
