WeaveZine Is Up… free weaving patterns

WeaveZine…for those who don’t already know.. is a relatively new online resouce magazine for weavers.   This is the 4th issue and there is an archive that will let you look back at the previous issues.  By the way, there is no affiliation between Fabric Follies Two and Weave Zine… I just really enjoy their magazine.

It seems I have been blogless for the last several days.  It has been one of those run, run, run weeks with appointments apparently popping up out of the woodwork all of a sudden.  Anyway, during the many drives to this town or that one, I have been knitting…and while waiting in doctor’s offices.  Woven NeedlecaseSince there is nothing finished yet, there is no picture.

But… during the evenings I have been working on some small weaving things.. They are squares made from handspun mixed wool, dyed with kool aid, handwoven..  then they waited a long time sitting on the shelf while  more mixed wool could be spindle Hand spun, dyed, woven Needlebooksspun  …dyed the singles, and then used the singles to embroidery the flowers and do the edging…

These are two needlebooks that were  finished last night.  There is one more that is darker and larger…made with some of the handspun Icelandic I finished last summer.  It (hopefully) will be larger and will have holders for scissors and other sewing essentials also… We’ll see…
