Tour de Fleece… Fini!

I made it… I finished all the chocolate merino pencil roving last night.  ITourdeFleeceMerinot is now Navajo plied (3 ply) sport weight yarn.  Finished last night was 316 yards to add to the almost 300 yards already done.

While I love this natural chocolate color,  I think I want to try to dye it.  A green dye would make it a lovely heather color… I hope.

Anyway, that is for another day.   As I pat myself on the back for finishing I will be continuing the job of putting heat reducing and UV blocking film on our office windows today.  The two windows that were finished yesterday really show how this will make a difference.  It doesn’t hinder the view any but it seems a little like looking out the window with your sunglasses on.

BTW… that dowel lying on my yarn is a wpi measure that I made a couple of days ago from a blog post that I found somewhere online.  I’m sorry, but I can’t remember where I saw it.  The gist is… roll the dowel to add the wraps to keep from adding twist to your yarn as you try to measure it.  Works great.

Hope all have a happy Sunday.  We are going to slouch around today as I make huge messes putting this stuff up…lol  Supposed to rain today and for the next 2 days.  That will hopefully cool things down.  We’ll see.
