Whew! The holidays are over once again and we are not only into a new year but whole new Decade! How did that happen so fast?
During this period when I have been gone I haven’t just been holiday-ing… ;o) I finished my first queen sized quilt. Love that. I quilted this on my machine and since it’s my first I will forgive myself the pucker…. You can bet this won’t be the last quilt I do… I am now hooked.
Years ago my mom made all of her grandchildren quilts. They were a good lap sized quilt and she didn’t quilt them. A couple of us girls got together with her and we all worked together and tied them. I was thinking of that this morning when I came across this site…
Mary’s Quilts.com … She had many scrappy quilt patterns on her site and this page with instructions (tute) for how to tie your quilts.
I hope your holidays were good. Mine were great. Some of the children and grandchildren came home and one of the grandsons married over Christmas holidays. What a wonderful celebration! A great way to end a year and begin another one….
The queen size always takes a lot of time and therefore patience and energy…but worth the pain yours have come out beautifully.
This is beautiful! Thank you for sharing your wonderful blog. Check out the American Quilter’s Society blog at: http://www.aqsquiltnews.blogspot.com/
Keep up the beautiful quilting!
