In Case You’re Wondering…

I decided that I wanted to give my blog a face lift.  So I did the thing called “Try it!  You’ll like it!”  Well, I didn’t like it and when I came back to this look all my widgets were gone… Humph  I guess it’s just as well that it happened that way.. as irritating as it was.  Now I really will give it a new look… so be patient with me as I try new things to find the look I like.. please.. 🙂

I’ve been gone a while…thank you, Facebook..;(   Don’t get me wrong…I love being able to put little notes up and visit with family and friends in real time.  But I find that I miss my blog… so here I am..

For my wonderful daughter in law....

For my wonderful daughter in law….

I did this scarf for my wonderful  daughter in law.  The first scarf I did was hand spun yarn that was spun on my spinning wheel.  I made the mistake of trying to dye it with Rit Dye.  Oh My! ..  When I tried to rinse until clear, the black and red never did rinse til clear.  I just see the mess that would make the first time she had to wash it.  Even in cold, cold  water it just would not clear.  Well that used up all my handspun.. ughhh   So I bought some yarn that friend of mine had spun and started over.. this time I used Kool Aid for the red and it turned out beautiful.

The weather here in North Texas has had mild temps for the last few days, but the cloud cover and misty rain has kept it pretty blah.. But I have to say that my flowers surely needed the rain.

Have a wonderful day..

Hi there Linda, Couldn’t find another way to reach you… it’s probably right under my nose… anyway. I’m intrigued by your card weaving loom that you made for your classes. Can you explain your weight system? I haven’t heard of that before. I’m just down the road from you near Temple. Would love to know if you’re doing more classes.
